Of the over 100,000.00 lawyers admitted to practice law in Florida, Mr. Gardana is one of the 62 lawyers Board Certified by the Florida Bar in Admiralty and Maritime Law.

In 2017-2018, he was appointed Chair of the Florida Bar Admiralty Law Committee where he initiated a committee effort to hold advanced Continuing Legal Education and Board Certification Seminars providing advanced admiralty law continuing legal education seminars throughout the State of Florida.

During 2018-2019, Mr. Gardana was Chair of the American Bar Association, Tort Trial and Insurance Practice Section, of the Admiralty and Maritime Law Committee where he spearheaded the publication Damages Recoverable in Maritime Matters, Second Edition, ABA 2020. During his leadership, the Committee received the acclaimed honor of being awarded the ABA-TIPS Overall Excellence Award for 2018-2019.

In 2019 – 2020, Mr. Gardana was honored to be appointed by the Florida Bar as a member of the Florida Bar Admiralty and Maritime Board Certification Committee and was appointed as Chair of the Admiralty and Maritime Board Certification Committee for 2022-2023.  

Mr. Gardana is a Proctor in Admiralty with the Maritime Law Association of the United States (MLA). He is a member of the Cruise Lines and Passenger Ships Committee.

Captain Gardana is a USCG licensed Master and a specialist in cruise passenger and crew injury, excursion, and wrongful death cases.

He has represented injured passengers for over 30 years.

Captain Gardana accepts referrals from attorneys nationwide. He has international experience in all areas of admiralty and maritime law, including cases involving all areas of admiralty law.
